The start
Dario Gjeta was born in Albania on August 25, 1996. He’s Albanian-American, and these days he’s based in Connecticut. He studied media and communications in Tirana, and before he had a channel of his own, he appeared on a YouTube channel called AlbanianTV.
He began the US citizenship process in 2018 and became a citizen in 2022. His parents became citizens in 2024.
As for the name, it’s pronounced “lazy.” He spells it Layze because the “Lazy” handle was already taken.
The channel
He created the channel on January 13, 2019, and two days later uploaded his first video, “I Spent 24 Hours Using Tik Tok And This Is What Happened....” What grew from there is weekly long-form commentary, usually 20 to 45 minutes a video, on TikTok culture, out-of-touch influencers, parenting content gone wrong, food trends and corporate weirdness like Crumbl, ice cream that won’t melt, and AI scams, plus cults, festivals, and celebrity chaos. He reads the internet so you don’t have to.
The delivery is outspoken, fast-cut, and self-deprecating. Fans turned his habit of saying “allegedly” into a running joke. His mom’s reactions and references became part of the show, and from 2023 into 2024 there was a wig era.
His most-viewed video, “The Most Reported Mom Account On Tik Tok,” went up on February 11, 2024. At 7.3M views, it’s the most-watched video on the whole channel.
Today
In 2026 the videos got cleaner and less over-edited, and the work spread out. His second channel, imactuallyLazy, was created in 2021 and has been uploading since February 2023. Playze, for gaming, followed in March 2025, and LayzeIRL, for vlogs, in May 2026. Since April 2025 he has also hosted a weekly comedy podcast with QCODE Media, and his merch line, Delulu University, sells in limited drops. Its Student tee reads “Est. 1996,” the year he was born.
He turned 30 in August 2026 and marked it with “My 30th Birthday In Turkey” on LayzeIRL. The main channel now has 2.48 million subscribers and more than 610 million views, and a new video still goes up every week.
